BMW really came to be recognised as producers of performance saloons after the formation of their famous M Division in the 1970’s and a real game changer for them was the launch of the E30 M3 in 1986 which went on to gain numerous championship victories in touring car racing. One of the first exhausts Scorpion developed was their own performance exhaust for the E30 M3 and at the same time Scorpion introduced the legendary DTM tailpipe to the UK market. Road-Test Review:

During our road test, we extensively evaluated our half system paired with the single mid-pipe under real-world driving conditions. We found no intrusive drone, and the cabin environment remained audibly refined, offering excellent daily drivability.

However, everything changed when Sport mode was engaged, and the throttle applied. The system unleashed its full, unrestricted soundtrack, delivering a tantalizing array of sounds during downshifts, gear changes, and varied throttle applications. This was accompanied by a thrilling "orchestra of chaos" as the revs climbed, resulting in a truly authentic M-car soundtrack.

Half System:

Our expert technicians have developed a 70mm/2.75” half system with quad 114mm tailpipes specifically for the BMW X3M LCI GPF model incl. Competition. Here’s a closer look at the specifications and available options!

Does our system retain valve functionality? Yes! Drivers can continue to control the car's soundtrack via the mode select button inside the car. This allows the ECU to modulate the sound levels emitted from your Scorpion exhaust.

Once installed, the new freer-flowing half system ensures efficient expulsion of exhaust gases, improving the vehicle's power delivery and sharpening throttle response while also reducing overall weight.

Tailpipe Styles:

Ascari: Our premium sport option, available exclusively in a matte carbon finish, highlights the distinctive sporty carbon weave. Its two-piece floating construction, with an inner brushed stainless-steel insert, allows hot gases to pass through without discolouring or weakening the outer carbon shell.

Daytona: This design needs no introduction, the classic Scorpion Daytona slash-cut style with a modern twist on a timeless look. The Daytona is a great-looking option for everything from hot hatchbacks to flagship autobahn saloons.

Tailpipe Finishes:

Polished: Premium T304 stainless steel polished trims undergo a meticulous multi-step buffing process, resulting in a long-lasting, mirror-like finish that stays shining.

Black Ceramic: The matte black finish provides a stealthy, modern look. The tailpipes undergo a specialised coating process, ensuring a durable and flawless finish.

X-Pipe/GPF Delete:

What benefits does a GPF delete provide? This additional pipework eliminates the highly restrictive GPF filter, which drastically muffles the exhaust tone, creates excessive back pressure, and limits tuning potential (for motorsport use only).

Furthermore, its interlinked X-pipe design promotes equal pressure between the two system lengths, enabling exhaust gases to be expelled from the cylinders more efficiently.

Single Mid-Pipe/GPF Delete:

What benefits does a single mid-pipe provide? This additional pipework eliminates the highly restrictive GPF filter, which drastically muffles the exhaust tone, creates excessive back pressure, and limits tuning potential (for motorsport use only). 

Additionally, the 89.9mm/3.5” large-diameter pipework significantly improves turbo spooling and delivers a thunderous exhaust note like no other.

Front Crossover Pipe:

No compromises, right? Complete the setup or opt for a standalone upgrade with our front crossover pipe. Ditch the restrictive OEM pipe and unlock enhanced torque and peak performance, achieving maximum power and responsiveness.

Compatible with both the Scorpion GPF delete X-pipe section and OEM pipework (not compatible or required when installing the single mid-pipe).
